Burren

"Burren", a collection of smalls inspired by my travels in West Ireland. This collection aims to inspire with scenes from the countryside and bring back to mind how magical exploring a new place can be. I named the collection "Burren" after the protected area off the coast of West Ireland. Here the landscapes flourish and even the wildflowers, which you wouldn't expect to grow in such harsh environments, adorn stone walls everywhere. The air feels crisp and you can hear the trees rustling as the wind whips through them. This area is rich in history and was my temporary home while studying in Ireland. Studying art at The Burren College of Art was truly a restorative time and one I will cherish forever.  I hope you can feel the joy and life I gained from the lovely landscapes in these paintings.
